Brother James Nathaniel leads a Franciscan Retreat in San Francisco
On Saturday, February 29, 2020, Brother James Nathaniel lead Franciscan retreat and quiet day for the people of the Diocese of California. The day was spent reflecting and meditating on the meaning and imagery of the San Damiano Cross. The cross has been a symbol for Franciscans since the time of St. Francis. It was Jesus Christ himself who spoke to Francis from the wood of the San Damiano cross, saying, "“Francis, go rebuild My house; as you see, it is all being destroyed.”
In attendance were folks from the local parish of Church of the Advent of Christ the King as well as members from churches throughout the Bay Area.
