BROTHERS' ART AND WRITINGS
"[Francis] used to gather up any piece of writing, whether divine or human, wherever he found it: on the road, in the house, on the floor. He would reverently pick it up and put it in a sacred or decent place because the name of the Lord, or something pertaining to it, might be written there."
The Life of St Francis, Thomas of Celano
BY THEIR WORKS...
Creative expression is a high value in our community. Brothers are encouraged to develop their gifts in writing, preaching, speaking, poetry, arts, music, crafts, and other ways of expression. It is our hope that in these pursuits, not only will we benefit our own mind and soul, but that in these collected scraps (to borrow the imagery of Francis above) might be found something pertaining to the name and character of God.
Enjoy these samples of the Brothers' work, get to know us a little better, and be sure to check back for more content later. Please do not reproduce or re-use these works without permission.
