Brother Jude Hill, SSF, and Brother James Nathaniel, SSF, travelled to St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Los Gatos, CA on Sunday, July 21. Brother James delivered a sermon grounded in church orthodoxy at the 8am & 10am services. In the parish hall after the 10am Eucharist, Brother Jude spoke to the parish and their priest, Fr. Ricardo Avila, of the fascinating history of St. Francis, his friars, and others who have followed their rule of life over the centuries, finishing with a narrative of the Society of St. Francis in the Americas and the work that our Bay Area friars do in the community.
